St Margaret Clitherow’s Primary is a school where individuals are helped to achieve their personal best.  Children are supported in becoming confident and independent young people, who thrive on challenge, and are motivated to learn.  Staff, supported by governors, work hard to deliver a rich and ambitious curriculum; to prepare children for future education and to help them acquire the skills and enthusiasm needed to embrace the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

At St Margaret Clitherow’s School we teach the National Curriculum. Our purposefully designed curriculum ensures all pupils receive a broad, balanced and progressive curriculum that is rich in knowledge and builds upon prior learning.  Our curriculum ensures pupils develop an understanding of both substantive and disciplinary knowledge giving them the opportunity to develop into keen critical thinkers.  Underpinned by high quality teaching, learning is memorable and sustained over time.
