Reception Expectations Parent’s Meeting – REMINDER

13th October 2021Natalie Parks
Dear Parents and Guardians,

Ever asked your children what they have been doing at school all day and they reply ‘Nothing’?!
As you are aware, Monday 18th October we are inviting you into school to find out a little bit about what goes on in your child’s day e.g. what they are learning in their number, writing and how they are learning their phonics and what they are expected to do by the end of the year.
Please drop your children off as you normally would at the Reception gate at 8:45am and then make your way around to the office entrance. We will then invite you into the school hall and we will show you what we do in school all day.
Looking forward to seeing you all then
Mrs Adams
EYFS Lead

Speech and Language – Information for parents

17th May 2020Helen Adams
Paula Mills from Speech and Language Therapy has sent this message for parents worried about their children during lockdown.
As we are currently not able to offer direct face to face intervention with our children at this time we have set up a facebook page that we are directing our families to.  It is called “South Tees NHS Children and Young People’s SALT service”.
We are being very brave!! and uploading video advice clips as well as linking into other helpful sites.  You can also find these video clips on our YouTube channel at “South Tees SALT Service Children and Young People”
We also have a Twitter account and can be found at “@SouthTeesSALT”

NPCAT Update to Parents and Carers

14th May 2020Louise Turner

Thursday 14th May

Dear Parents and Carers,

You will be aware of the guidance issued by the DfE on Monday 11th May setting out its anticipation to encourage pupils to attend school from 1st June 2020 which is subject to change. We will update you in respect of any such modification.

As a Trust we have commenced our planning following the government announcement. This will reference the government guidance allied to detailed risk assessments and consultation with teachers, parents and Trade Unions.

We will ensure that any proposals to offer school opening from June 1st will take account of the necessity to offer an safe and secure environment for pupils, staff and naturally parents in respect of drop off and collection of your children. We will issue comprehensive guidance on the Trust wide model of school return for June 1st onward by Friday 22nd May 2020.

Kind Regards

Year 6C-R Catholic Social Teaching ✝️

In our RHE lesson, we have focused on the importance of Catholic Social Teaching and how its principles can guide us in our daily lives. We explored the importance of treating every person with dignity and respect, as everyone is created in the image and likeness of God. We also discussed the common good, solidarity, and the responsibility we have to help those who are vulnerable. Through Catholic Social Teaching, we learn the value of justice, compassion, and caring for our communities, both locally and globally. These teachings encourage us to make positive choices inside and outside of school and to work towards creating a fairer and more peaceful world for everyone.

Here are some fantastic posters that these brilliant children have made to remind us of these key principles!

Well done Y6!

The children have blown us away today with their artistic interpretations of the Holy Spirit as described in scripture. Just look at their incredible artwork!!

We also worked together to write a third, Holy Spirit verse to the Trinity hymn which you can sing together to the tune of London Bridge is Falling Down!
