St Andrew’s Parish

Saint Andrew’s is a Catholic Christian Community, commissioned by baptism, nourished by eucharist and empowered by the Holy Spirit, in bearing witness to our faith in Jesus Christ as we strive to live by the Gospels in loving service of one another and of our neighbour, building up his kingdom to the greater glory of God.

Parish links and events

SMC benefits from being part of St Andrew’s parish. We regularly attend Mass in the parish church as well as inviting parishioners to join us in our half-termly Masses. We also have events throughout the year at church, such as our carol service, and of course, First Holy Communions and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

We try to show our appreciation for the prayers and support of the parish and people in the local community.

Each summer, Year 6 host a tea party for parishioners and friends of SMC. At this event, the children ask our guests to vote on a worthy cause to which the funds raised at our annual Enterprise Day are donated.

Our community

We are so lucky to be part of such a supportive community – especially the local residents of the St Margaret’s Grove. People have been so kind and generous towards us with treats such as ice lollies in the summer. We try to show our appreciation in return with Christmas and cards and flowers made up of the donations as part of our May Procession.
